Calling Russia and its Corrupt Government to Account

Have the Russians been the permanent victims of history or the enduring menace to the European continent and beyond?  Has the Russian state in its various reincarnations been destined to greatness or has it been doomed to miserable oscillations between repeated attempts at modernization and permanently regressive parochial chauvinism?  Has the uninterrupted line of psychopathic despots and the accompanying distorted herd mentality of the Russian political community led to the creation and the renewed reinvention of false realities as well as outright lies?  Are President Putin and his terrorized minions the manipulators of their willfully collective disregard of their subjects cum slaves’ best interests?  Are foreign politicians of all nationalities outside the state boundaries of the Russian Federation cognizant of the mortal danger of this destructive Russian despotic phenomenon?  And finally, could the Orwellian Trap of official Russian lies make falsehood the norm rather than the exception in relations between heterogeneous states?

Clearly, since its establishment as a sovereign political entity in 1547, when the Grand Duchy of Moscow became the Tsardom of Russia, the state has been at war with itself, its neighbors and its own people.  The worst human passions have overtaken the rulers, their administrations and their societies.  Despotism, cruelty, ruthlessness, corruption and immorality have had the upper hand over basic humanity, open-minded tolerance and beneficial creativity.  State-sanctioned violence has often spiralled out of control.  The declared policy of the Despot has always been to destroy every possible opposition.  In this manner, despotism has only had a beginning, but it has never had an end.  Tsarist despotism, its continuation in the form of Communist dictatorship and the preservative Putinesque authoritarianism have been hopelessly endless.  In every incarnation and reincarnation of “Mother Russia” tactical political calculations and fallacious sound bites have ruled.

In this tragic world of the psychopathological delusional Despot and his subjects, everybody’s worldview have been tainted by a cavalcade of overwhelmingly negative emotions, because deep down in their minds they have sensed a colossal betrayal by the so-called political “elite” as well as the world at large.  The resulting desire for absolute political control by the Despot has ultimately led to a self-imagined state of affairs, in which absolute obedience and corresponding injustice have prevented any progress or meaningful reform toward a more just society.

Counterintuitively, a tiny minority has always risen to highlight “Mother Russia’s” recurring problems.  Yet, these brave souls have only added to the ubiquitous misery of their despotic societies, because no state, no society and no ideology can be successful by exclusively pointing to miseries without offering creative solutions.  Thus, every fledgling opposition to the Despot has been in constant disarray, while the former has utilized the stubbornly recurring political and existential vacuums to further cement the all-powerful nature of the state.  At the end, national identity has always become a defining issue over what has been actually a much more significant problem of basic survival as well as the untenable conditions of inter-societal relations within an unmovable despotic state.

The world cannot allow itself to have even the slightest doubt about the persona and the intentions of President Putin and his small circle of like-minded comrades.  The current Russian Despot is the quintessential hater of the democratic and freedom-practicing West.  He is a thin-skinned extremist Slavophile endowed with blind, irrational and boundless loathing – combined with a self-contradictory victim-victor mentality.  Tragically, however, his boundless animus is not balanced by even a modicum of creativity, because he only loves egotistical destruction.  Thus, in his core nature President Putin is evil.  Accordingly, he abhors the United States of America, its allies and everybody who disagrees in the slightest with his evil domestic and foreign despotism, while ignores to the fullest history that has delivered sufficient proof about Russia’s guilt of rejecting the West’s attempts at mutually beneficial cooperation.  The reality is that only Russia is to blame for its permanent backwardness vis-a-vis the rest of the world.  Historically, nobody has held Russia back but the long line of the Russian Despots themselves.

As far as President Putin’s imperial intentions are concerned, he is hellbent to regain as much lands as possible that were lost after 1991.  Since his accession to the presidency, he has steadily expanded the Russian Federation.  He has laid claims to territories, waters and oil rights that also includes the North Pole.  He has invaded Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine, Syria and has expanded within Moldova.  In the maps that have circulated throughout Russia under his direction, Russia spans areas far exceeding the territories it now holds.  Clearly, his intentions are to recreate the glories of Tsarist and Communist Russia cum Soviet Union.  To wit, over his more than two decades of reign, President Putin has become increasingly despotic and increasingly foolhardier.  This behavior of his corresponds with his blind hatred for the West in general and the United States of America in particular.  More frighteningly, despite grave economic, financial and social problems at home, President Putin is pursuing an extremely dangerous and reckless foreign policy.  Clearly, his ambitions are in direct conflict with the rest of the world.  Yet, in the long run, his success depends on the well-being of the Russian people.  In case of an economic and financial collapse, his fallacious ideology would surely go down the drain of the unforgiving history.  Thus, President Putin’s success or failure depends on Russia’s relationship with the West and not with its so-called friendship with the People’s Republic of China.  Strategically, the United States of America and the rest of the world must remain unbending in defeating this antediluvian monster-despot to the fullest.  President Biden’s and his colleagues’ mandates demand firmness for the sake of our planet’s survival in liberty under the rule of the law.
