In an interview with French magazine Le Point, Durov shared that many of these children were conceived via his international sperm clinic, but that he intends to treat every child equally when it comes to inheritance, regardless of their origin.
The 40-year-old tech mogul emphasized that family and personal legacy are deeply important to him. Durov revealed he’s already prepared his will and has put measures in place to delay inheritance access for three decades.
“I decided that my children would not have access to my fortune until a period of 30 years has elapsed, starting from today,” Durov said. “I want them to live like normal people, to build themselves up alone, to learn to trust themselves, to be able to create, not to be dependent on a bank account.”
This future-focused inheritance plan isn’t merely about money—it’s also about principle. Durov stated unequivocally that all of his children, whether conceived through traditional relationships or through his sperm donations across 12 countries, will be regarded and treated the same.
“There are those who were conceived naturally and those who come from my sperm donations. They are all my children and will all have the same rights,” he stressed. “I don’t want them to tear each other apart after my death.”
Officially, Durov has six children from three known partners. The rest—well over 100—were born as part of a personal reproductive initiative facilitated through anonymous donations. His estimated net worth is currently pegged at $13.9 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
