According to investigators, the caller told dispatchers: “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”

When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered Handy unconscious in the front yard.

Authorities said he was suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Emergency personnel transported Handy to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Suspect Arrested at Scene

Police identified the suspect as Michael Gledhill, 44.

Investigators said Gledhill was still at the scene when officers arrived and allegedly approached them directly.

According to police, Gledhill flagged down officers and informed them that he was the individual they were seeking.

Authorities took him into custody without incident.

The suspect was later booked into the Van Nuys Jail on a murder charge.

Officials said bail was set at $2 million.
