Three Stars Selected for NBA 2K27 Covers
NEW YORK — Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark and Derrick Rose were announced Wednesday as the cover athletes for NBA 2K27.
The three basketball stars will appear on separate editions of the popular video game.
Wembanyama Leads the Standard Edition
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will appear on the Standard Edition.
Wembanyama described the opportunity as “a dream come true.”
The Standard Edition is scheduled for a widespread release on Sept. 4.
Clark Featured on Deluxe Edition
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will appear on the NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition.
Clark said appearing on the cover “is special because this game reaches fans all over the world.”
The Deluxe Edition will be available through early access beginning Aug. 28.
Rose Returns to an NBA 2K Cover
Former NBA Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose will appear on the limited-time Ultra Edition.
Rose previously served as the NBA 2K13 cover athlete.
“This is a chance to inspire young athletes to stay obsessed with the game,” Rose said. “To show them that when you put in the countless hours of hard work, it rewards you.”
The Ultra Edition will also launch with early access on Aug. 28.
