Victor Wembanyama led the way with:
- 19 points
- 15 rebounds
- Strong interior defense
Stephon Castle added 21 points as San Antonio shot 50% from the field.
The loss marked the worst postseason defeat in Timberwolves franchise history.
Minnesota coach Chris Finch bluntly summarized the defeat afterward:
“I just told our players we got punked.”
The series now heads to Minneapolis tied 1-1.
Knicks Continue Historic Postseason Run
New York Knicks continued their dominant playoff form by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 108-102 to grab a 2-0 Eastern Conference semifinal lead.
Jalen Brunson once again carried New York offensively, finishing with 26 points.
Unlike the blowout in Game 1, the second matchup featured:
- 25 lead changes
- 14 ties
- No lead larger than seven points
Joel Embiid missed the game due to a sprained ankle, leaving Philadelphia shorthanded again.
The series now shifts to Philadelphia with the 76ers desperately trying to avoid a 3-0 deficit.
Thunder Look To Tighten Grip On Lakers
The No. 1-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder will attempt to take a commanding 2-0 series lead Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Oklahoma City dominated Game 1 behind:
- 24 points from Chet Holmgren

- Effective ball movement against aggressive double teams
The Lakers remain without Luka Doncic, who has already been ruled out again with a hamstring injury.
